We are planning to visit the island in September this year - can't wait as I have heard a lot of good things about this area.
Could you please give me some pointers on facilities in the Faro Park area - supermarkets, shops, restaurants etc..as well as in Playa Blanca

We have stayed in Faro Park about 10 times now. There is a small row of shops, cafes and restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets within walking distance. You can have a good breakfast and also have an evening meal without needing to drive.
Further afield in Playa Blanca there are two main areas: the old harbour area and Marina Rubicon. The Old Harbour area is where you can find a variety of supermarkets, chemists, gift shops etc as well as a large variety of restaurants, in the shopping area but mainly along the harbour front. Marina Rubicon is slightly more 'up market' - again with a range of shops and restaurants in a lovely marina setting.
Basically Playa Blanca has something for everyone - from burger and chips to posh nosh. Hope you enjoy it.
Oh, by the way - one of the best parts of Faro Park is that you can walk down to the sea (not a beach) and have a lovely walk along the sea front with its larva rocks and crashing waves! If you're very energetic you can walk into PB itself!
