Hi coming to Lanzarote for first time in January (always done GC till now), staying at the Plaza Palmeras in PDC, can anyone recommend any good bars restuarants nearby and how to get there, We like small but lively bars with a good atmosphere and somewhere to sit outside and people watch. Also where nearby does good brekkies. Thanks in advance, Stevie

Have a look at google earth. It has a walk through part for PdC.

Plaza Palmeras are close to the front, 10 mins.
Try one of the recreativo (slot machine places) for breakfast, or one of the many English bars.

Spenders bar is not far from you either.

You will enjoy your area.

Thanks for that, I take it our apartments are near the middle of everything, (dont know the area at all, and I am pretty hopeless with Google Streets)

Check a street map to get your bearings, I like this one as you can save it as a pdf file and adjust the size to suit. Use the Casino as a central point to get your bearings

Your apartments are on Calle Anzuelo, when you walk to the bottom you are virtually opposite the casino

Try Spenders Bar at the bottom of Anzuelo, great bar

Thanks, been on Google streetmap and cant find Spenders or even a "Casino", a bit of exploration required when I get there me-thinks.

You'll sharp get your bearings, down to the bottom of your street, turn left & your heading down the strip towards Matagorda end. Turn right & your heading along the strip towards the Old Town
