Hi all,
I'm hoping to travel to Lanzarote for a friend's wedding in November but money is tight and I'll be travelling alone. All the package companies in Ireland either have huge single supplements or don't consider lone travellers at all! Looks like it'd work out cheaper to book a flight and accommodation separate. I wondered if anyone knows of decent but reasonable accommodation in Peurto Del Carmen/Matagorda? I'm not too fussy but somewhere safe and maybe with a pool would be great!
thanks for your help!

You could try here :-

http://www.apartamentos-jable.com/

40 euros a night and about 2 miles from Matagorda.

What kind of accomadation are you looking for as I have a friend who has a house who will rent a room. He is based a bit further out but it will make for a good holiday

I'm heading out on 28th December for two weeks - found pretty cheap flights, but struggling to find a deal on accomodation. Tried alpharooms and they're actually really expensive for both CT and PDC. I'm even considering (gasp) a package holiday as these are working out cheaper. Any suggestions on websites for accomodation? :)

That looks like a winner. Just have to decide where we want to stay!

Has anyone got, or know anyone that has got, a 1 or 2 bedroomed apartment they would be willing to rent for two weeks over New Year?

We have a 2 bedroomed apartment in the old town with great sea views and we don't put the price up because its Christmas/New Year. Get in touch if you are interested.

That would be £250 per week for 2 people. If you are interested get in touch. We've had an enquiry for Xmas and New Year which they haven't confirmed so let me know asap. My email address is jgugans@btinternet.com.
