Planning on heading out for a few days in the second week of Jan - cheap flights are no problem (even when it's not for a full week), but I'm having real trouble getting anywhere to stay. All the available places seem to be lovely hotels, when at the moment, a bed in a hostel would do! Any suggestions? Was only coming to look at houses and schools, don't really want it to cost hundreds of pounds!

Have you tried Alpharooms they have quite an extensive range of apartments and hostels
