Just a work of warning for today, the French ATC are on strike (again)
so flights to Lanzarote from the UK/Ireland etc subject to heavy
delays.

Might save you waiting for hours at the airport if you are meeting friends

It might not have happened. I checked up on the flight I usually get to lanza and it took off from Gatwick 47 minutes late and arrived in Lanza 48 minutes late so if the French ATC were on strike it didn't affect that flight by much

Well it certainly did happen, the worst delay was 8 hours,
however some of the late evening flights managed to get
in early, so perhaps teh French had got back to work by then!

I suspect they just pick odd days for a strike rather
than a all out affair....They don't tend to advise
much in advance when they are having it either to
cause max mess.....
