If you read the entry above, it all looks scary.
Been too many times to remember, and lived there for 2 years, never waited more than 20 mins.
Sorry, I will (and do unless lightly loaded, then the bus) use the taxi´s.

Are you going to believe everything you see on a website called lanzarote transfers.....?!!!

Just hire a car - cost neutral once you factor in shopping trips....

Great, I´ll still stick with the local taxi´s, not over happy with blatant advertising.
€12 to PdC suits me fine.

hi cymmon,

when i read all your post i will think you are a taxidriver at the airport why you say all the time there are the best no queue and anything. or its posible you living or driving only to matagorda why this is the farest way to come with 12euro one way.

and be carefull with taxidrivers at the airport. when you tell thinks about the taxis at the airport why you not tell the story from the 31.12.09 when the guardia civil arrestet 3 taxidriver from the airport one want to charge 100 euro from a lady to go with her little son to costa teguise one way normal cost about 25 euro and the other two wants to have from a family 240 euro for two taxis one way to playa blanca normal cost about 60 euro each. better you start to read the local newspaper.

I have never had problems with the Taxis at the Airport, very reliable and helpful. There will always be the occasional 'bad apple in the barrel' wherever you go in the world.
As for the waiting time 5/10 minutes wait in an orderly line then 15 minutes later at the apartment in PDC

No sorry, was a coach driver with Franyasmar bus (now renamed Bus Leader).

One quote I found on the site was;
Quote:
Just missed a transfer so 15 min or so wait in the sun whilst chatting to the rep who stayed with us to arrange next pickup....Speedy tfr to C.Teguise. Picked up within 5 mins of asked for time on return from accomm to airport (just us on our own minibus

So 15 minute wait, same as a taxi. Just us on our own minibus (Could also be a coach), ALWAYS on your own in a taxi!

Also one more for terms and conditions;
Quote:
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT AT THE AIRPORT?
A private transfer will normally be waiting ready for you upon arrival. Shuttle services operate on a regular
basis and you should expect to wait no longer than 60 minutes.

How long will I have to wait at the Airport?
60 minutes!!!!!!

I don´t see how a taxi could charge silly fares, you should know that by law in Spain, the meter MUST be ON, AND you must be given a RECEIPT if you ask for one. This stops ANY problems. The whistle blowing, walky-talky holding inspector at the Airport keeps an eye on all proceedings.

I mostly use taxi´s, except when arriving midday, then I use the bus changing at Playa Honda. My friend sometimes meets me (good old Kraut Michael) and we don´t get long before we are in PdC bars! ie: don´t wait long for taxi´s.

I used to live near the Casino in central PdC, so alot further than Matagorda and the fare was still €12.
Sorry, but I´ll stick to taxis, been doing it since 1992 and NEVER had a problem.

PS: I also read La Voz, La Provincia, Canarias 7 etc.

now i know who you are :-) i am a bus driver too and drive for bus leader, before franyasmar. and the company t4you is not working with bus leader.
when taxi driver tell you a fix price there switch the meter off and you know that too.
but know i understand why you quote all the time the taxis and dont tell the truths. i feel sorry for you.
i am every day at the airport and i see whats happend on there, i see the taxi queues every time not all days but tuesdays thursdays fridays and sundays and know mondays starts too.

and when you quote a thing quote the hole text not half
Quote:
Plane arrived early - Rep (English) already waiting with personalised name board in arrivals. Just missed a transfer so 15 min or so wait in the sun whilst chatting to the rep who stayed with us to arrange next pickup....Speedy tfr to C.Teguise. Picked up within 5 mins of asked for time on return from accomm to airport (just us on our own minibus)...Would recommend to others...

Taxi drivers only give you fixed price for designated routes from stop to stop, not airport to resort apartment/hotel. ie: day tour or San Antonio hotel to Famara, Tías etc.

I never said it was.

Please don´t feel sorry for me, I tell the truth.
If I wanted to lie, I would say it´s quicker and cheaper using Bus Leader!!!!!

Do you?

Ok, here it is fully quoted, IT IS STILL 15 mins for a taxi! and I was there 6 days a week.

I´ll still use the taxi even though I´ve never driven one..........just used them for 17 years on Lanzarote.
