Hello - can anyone please recommend a company that offers transfers from the airport to Playa Blanca. Have looked up a couple online but they seem quite expensive. Many thanks.

Hire a car is your best bet or just get a taxi.

You could always call to a travel agent and see if one of the charter flights would take you on one of their buses to PB. better still if they were passing/stopping at your chosen destination in PB.

I always use Raphael at Canal Travel, not the cheapest but oh so reliable.

£46 return? Thats just under 60E and a taxi there and back would be 70E!! And a hire car for the week about 100E!! Its the cheapest option but maybe not the most convenient surely?

Dunno Foodie - obviously the hire car is by far the best value for money option but if you don’t want to drive over there and don’t want to queue for taxis it sounds a blumin good deal to me. Ole

Fair point Ole - if cash is the only consideration and you don't want to travel anywhere would suit someone who was doing AI for example and weren't having to lug shopping around.
But surely you would be waiting on the coach (in the heat) for the idiots who can't find the coach, the ones whose luggage has been lost or has taken an age etc? Plus how many drop offs does the coach make?

Ah Ha – that’s totally different then, I didn’t realise it was a coach transfer. Money would have to be tight to choose a coach transfer. Can’t be doing with that, once I’ve landed I’m particularly crotchety till I’ve got into my apartment. BTW, on a similar subject, i.e. something that makes me crotchety after landing – hands up if you’re one of those people who HAS to stand up as soon as the seatbelt light goes off after landing when you know you can’t get off for at least 5 mins ? Why do you do that ? Where do you think you’re going ? Do you think that getting a standing place in the aisle next to your empty seat is a status symbol ? or will get you anywhere quicker ? Don’t you realise you can sit down and stand up later when you can get off, it only takes a second to stand up – honest ! Are you the same people who stand still on elevators ? Or insist on hoarding around the baggage carousel 1 inch away so nobody can get their bags off ? Or walk out of the airport door and STOP in the doorway to look around ? Ole

ole always laugh to myself when as you say plane lands then up they get upper luggage is opened bags ect and they are ready for the off, and they must wait a good 10 mins before anything starts moving.and another thing they get on the bus to take them to the terminus sweating there bollo--s off leaving blighty 11 degrees getting to lanza say 26 degrees then waiting for the last person getting off the plane who is sweat free.

To be honest ive paid £46 due to firstly i can't get into the villa for 3 hours after i land so theres not much of a rush. Normally i have to wait for a coach on all holidays i have booked due to being package holidays and the last and only time i got a taxi from the airport was in Menorca and i was ripped off on the first transfer. Can't be bothered with a hire car, like doing a bit of walking and chillin, might get a bike along the line. So for me i thought the £46 coach pick up was best option by far. Will be one day in this time next week, woohooo

Ole I know Ole, it's always puzzled us. They would be the ones that flock to queue at the boarding gate to stand in line for at least half an hour. Another of my peeves are the women who wait until the bus stops or the shopping's gone through the checkout before delving into their voluminous bag to (eventually) find their purse.

Money is no option, taking a £1200 for the week for the two of us so should be easily OK. Just seems the best option as i have stated before, waiting around for half an hour doesn't bother me, lets me calm down after the flight. On another note a car would be useless as i do like a few beers during the day so wouldn't want to risk loosing my license
