If you arrive at Lanzarote airport and are staying nearby, is it possible to walk. Or must you get a taxi or car etc?

Depends where "nearby" is. None of the resorts are within walking distance, at least not with luggage.

Anyway, taxis are very cheap.

I know the area, but i wondered if there was a pedestrian exit down to the promenade. It's just a good walk to Playa Honda or Matagorda.

There is no direct access from the airport to the front.
You could use the service 22 or 23 www.arrecifebus.com to Playa Honda (1st stop) and walk down to the front. Quicker to just jump in a taxi.
