Hello All,
Hope someone "on the spot" can help me here. I'm planning to book a villa on Calle Vesubio (in the Montana Roja area of Playa Blanca) for a week next April. Looking on "Google Earth" - a wonderful invention - it looks as though the area immediately to the west is in the middle of being developed, with half-finished villas and waste ground. I'd hate to have my week ruined by lots of noise, dirt, etc from building work close by.

Can anyone tell me what the score is?

The google earth shot you can see is about nine months out of date.

Not sure exactly where you're referring to, about a year ago there was a lot of pile driving going on around montana roja, on the east side of the mountain, which was a pain, but that's long finished.

We're not finding any building works intrusive at the moment.
