I am hearing rumours that this race may not take place this year, has anyone heard anythimg??

Also that Club La Santa are restricting entry to those only staying at Club La Santa resorts for all their events?

I made an enquiry about running routes etc via the Enquiry email address at the Sands Beach Resort. Below is an extract from the response which provides a bit of info on the full and half marathon.

The Sands Beach Hotel is organizing the Lanzarote Marathon, exactly during the week you are enquiring about. On the 4th December the hotel will be both start and finish line for this event, offering both half and full marathon distances.


This week we will be finalising a special athlete´s package which will include apartment, food and race entry, and should you be interested, I can forward you the details.Hope this helps.

Just had a further response to say that all the information relating to the 1/2 and full marathons will be the Sands Beach Resort Facebook and Twitter pages from tomorrow.
