I just got off the phone with Vodafone and to say that I am livid would be an understatement.
I changed my ADSL from Telefonica to Vodafone some months back (the attractive pricing) but have had major problems with it since. For months, the connection kept dropping out (connected, then disconnected, connected etc) and so I rang the customer service number to report the problem. However, customer service (123) told me that I had to call the ADSL support number (22155) for problems with ADSL. So I rang 22155 and was quickly informed that each call costs €0.50. I then spent weeks calling that number everyday - each time they would close my incident without solving the problem. Each time they would promise to call me back the next day (they never did). Eventually they did solve the problem - which means that they had to contact Telefonica to do so, but only after weeks of aggravation and phone calls.
I was very surprised to see that after all that, they had charged me for every single call to 22155. So I rang them to confirm that it was indeed the case that I had to pay to report any problems with their ADSL service and was informed that that was the case.
I'm sorry, but in my opinion that is fraud.
From what I hear, I'm not the only one to experience problems with Vodafone ADSL in Playa Blanca - so my advice is stick with Telefonica.

The problem with using any other carrier is that Telephonica are resposible for repair and maintainance of the line and they probably put Vodafone customers low on their list of priorities. Your right though the charges for support seem outragous. Still look on the bright side we cant get a line with any of them stuck with a very flakey dongle connection. Ray

I've always stuck with Telefonica (now calling themselves Movistar) for ADSL, because they can't blame anyone else when it goes down. I used to have problems in UK with Pipex and BT blaming each other as long as possible.
