Hi Seems a bit quite on the CT forum.
In prep for my 11th visit in 4 years I wondered what the general business vibe is in CT at the moment?
I spent 11 days last year browsing various businesses looking for a place to purchase.
Having seen rave reviews on the web and forums like this I was quite excited. Shame though, what I found was average service and rude staff who seemed to think they were doing punters a favour. Is morale an issue or is it a problem with the quality of staff available?
All inclusive 'troughs' will win if we don't start to understand how to harness the obvious footfall trade across the resort.
comments?

I think that morale has been a little low in some parts/bars/restaurants. Maybe it is due to the uncertainty of job security, this always makes people less attentive, even though the opposite should occur to keep trade.
Someone needs to come up with a new idea, it's great to have English, Irish, German (+Spanish!!!) etc on the island, but why do we not want to join and work together?
While I personally disagree with all inclusive, I understand the pull for some people/families, they then have a set budget. But after that is said, lots then use tours to visit the Island, others decide they want more than the "standard" food (Ok, some is great food on all inclusive - so I am told).
Yes, It's the Canaries, can anyone work out a genuine Canarian bar/restaurant/shop complex that will appeal to ALL Holidaymakers?
I love to join the local culture wherever I visit or live (currently the Philippines), for some it is a step too far. Sun too hot, days to long, food too foreign, lets try for a happy medium?
