Hi everyone, I am new to forum but been to Playa Blanca 7 times over the last 10 years. When we visit we normally eat in Brisa Marina but it is a bit pricey. This year we dont have as much disposable income so are trying to find alternative places to eat that have good food but more reasonable prices (we find Brisa Marina is very expensive if you want fish, which we love). Any help would be appreciated as we are back over on 23rd April. I have heard a lot of good things about Tipico Canaria (?), is this place any good?

Is it still expensive in general in lanzarote or have prices dropped now?

I tend to use either the Don Camillo 2 or the Rincon Playa, both on the front of Playa Blanca.

tipico canario - the one I know just below artista is pretty good (but there are several with tipico in the name!!) - I thought it was pretty good value - but then I thought Brisas marina was good value - so on that basis you will find it expensive?

I had dinner with the mrs, shell fish soup, seriously nice bit of beef and a bottle of red for about 50E which when the rate was good was only about £35 but now = £50!!

Pedros does superb fish but is prob more than brisas.

Burger King have a 2.99 Euro special menu on at the min.

Think I give Burger King a miss but thats for that haha.

We both like fish so has to be a place that does good fish Will try out Typico Canario as that seems to get lots of good feedback, is it on the sea front? Cant say I have ever seen a sign for it?

Any other ideas welcome (not burger king type places though - I know I said cheap but not that cheap!).

I have been there for the past few years and find that restaurant playa blanca, which is on the promenade is excelent value. It also does all dishes on half portion for children, which is a great bonus when compared to the usual nuggets and chips fare in most places for kids.

Sandy. Loius and Linda are great crack.

The restaurant in the harbour car park is excellent value, great fish and you can park right outside....opposite where the ferry comes in.
Also the Chinese by the Spar shop just past the harbour is quite good too and you get a free bottle of wine if you get a take away!
