Just home from a night out in snowy, miserable rainy Ireland and was just thinking about value for money for a PINT.......sadly im a bit of an alco and drink pints of vodka and rebull.....i know when im in Lanzarote I can get a VERY large vodka and bull for €5.50 in SPENDERS, In Ireland approx €15.00, just wondered what your best bargain drinkwise was in Lanzarote in your experience....personally speaking I find the gang in SPENDERS the best experience on the island.....be interested to get opinions ?????

A new Tapas bar has just opened in Arrecife called Museo de Vino, just off the main shopping street. Turn right at the 5 story shopping centre.
1 glass of wine and a tapas for €1. One catch, officially available wednesday only.
Very nice.

Hey cymmon, Are ya doing tours into Arrecife Its a maze to me I park at the Gran hotel and just venture 1 or 2 streets back. Digital, agree on Spenders. I usualy enjoy a few before I go out, very, very cheap I find alot of the bars back from the Sea Front are fairly cheap and a few of the little ones around the Old Town. Also some of the Pool Bars are alot cheaper than main bars. End of the Day, drink is half the price it is in Dublin

Would the Barge be an Irish bar by any chance? Incidentally if your friend got a pint of Magniers for €5 in Dublin I am shocked and amazed.

The Barge is English owned. Good for breakfast You would get a Pint of Magners/Bulmers in Dublin for a €5. Most of us who drink Magners prefare the Pint Bottle and this is more expensive. In Lanza the bottle costs vary from pub to pub, from just €4 to €6 Dublin you'll pay around €5.50 for a Pint bottle.

Yes sorry. It was the bottle I was thinking of.
I have to say that my experience of drink prices is PDC is:
Irish bars = expensive Other bars = cheap ( relative to Ireland)

A personal favourite of mine is the Brendan Behan in the La Hoya centre, in the Old Town.
It's super cheap: €2 for bottles of Heineken and Bud, €3.50 for branded spirit & mixer, €1.50 for pint of local beer.
And super friendly: Mick, Caroline and Eamonn are three of the most decent people on the island.
