Well, just back from Playa Blanca, and was disappointed to find that Bodegon del Mano was closed - again! It is now closed until the move to the new marina in July. So Carlos, you assured me in April that it was going to be open, how could you do it to me? However, all was not lost; we found Aromas, behind the pedestrian precinct. It had only been open seven months, and far superior to a lot of the tourist traps on the seafront. It is light and airy, with plenty of room. Also there were Spanish people eating in there, which we took as a good sign, and it was! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the people very friendly and efficient. We were lucky too, they were closing the day after we visited, but only for a couple of weeks holiday. Highly recommended.

Sorry but Mano had also told me he is staying where he was, and would be renting out the property he is now building, although he may have been closed for holidays.
Aromas, is very good. What would you expect, Cico the waiter and joint owner with the chef, are both ex Romantica.
