If he was a teenager, he knew an awful lot about UK and US although he was clearly nuts.

Certainly not our son, but as Walker says he knows a lot about us and his so called homeland.

I have been reading the very recent posts and I would just like to say that I really don't understand why this entire category was not simply just deleted rather than only a few posts. I personally think that several comments made by "Walker" and "Frank and Pearl" were just as inappropriate and offensive as those they were complaining about. Calling someone "American troll", "a gun nut", "a hypocrite", "Yank" and "nuts" are really uncalled for on this forum. The moderator(s) should have just removed all such comments regardless of who posted them. Yet these comments still remain on this forum. Apparently, some people do not have anything more constructive to do than to sit by their PC's and exchange barbs and insults in an online forum. This sort of negativity really detracts from the purpose and intent of this forum. Why is it tolerated from anyone?? To quote "Frank and Pearl": Is this a "SO CALLED" forum about Lanzarote or an online war between citizens of the UK and citizens of the USA!!?? One thing that does seem very clear is that "Walker" and "Frank and Pearl" are not very fond of Americans or the USA. I do not feel that this is an appropriate venue for airing quite obviously prejudiced views and opinions, regardless of who or what they are towards or against. To the moderator(s): Please either remove all of these comments or put a stop to the posting of further ones. To: "Walker" and "Frank and Pearl": Please turn off your PC's and go out and get a life. Does abusive and hateful mean regardless of who is posting?? Or making derogatory comments directed at anyone or anything acceptable?? Any anti-whomever or anti-whatever comments ok?? Do the rules apply to some but not to others??

MikefromGeorgia, you seem to have reappeared in record time under the name of theTallman. Either that, or we've had two people with similar attitudes joining recently who can write grammatically, using similar vocal and phraseology, and at length, but with a very obvious bias. For the record, I love most parts of the US, apart from those bits I said I didn't, and the hypocrite tag was perfectly reasonable when applied to someone who has used the services of UK for many years, especially the free health service, then slags off his adopted home.

If this guy is paying National Insurance then he is fully entitled to the "so called" (sorry Frank and Pearl!!) "free" health service. Anyone who works, pays taxes and N.I. is hardly freeloading or using the system.
