I am interested in buying 2 bikes for general use, Playa Honda-Matagorda-PdC journies. I visited the hugely expensive one opposite Pocillos Playa and was also quoted Euro 250 for a 2nd hand bike in the Matagorda shopping centre. Is there anywhere on the Island I can buy something close to Irish/UK prices i.e. Euro 200?

Try the side road in Arrecife opposite the Gran Hotel, there was also a shop downstairs in Deiland shopping centre, Playa Honda.

Thanks Cymmon, I'll be going to the Deiland shopping centre soon so I'll take a look there first.

They also sell bikes on the top floor of Megacentro opposite Deiland.

We bought two second hand bikes from Flimstones in Matagorda for 250 euro each but I must say you only get what you pay for and they are fanatastic bikes and would have cost 500 euro new.

phillloyd,
Its Flimstones where I looked first, and the bikes did look good, but its more than we are looking for as we just need something to mooch about on - Lance Armstrong I am not!
Thanks a lot though, I may well return there.
