Hi everyone,
We're travelling to Playa Blanca next Saturday and would like to rent a car for a couple of days.
Is there anywhere in particular that would be the best for renting? Also, would anyone recommend certain (and easy to get to!) places to visit? Is there any particular route that we should follow?
Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest a trip up to Haria and then onto Mirador. I'd also suggest dinner at El Golfo. It does depend on what floats your boat as it were. Cactus gardens are very good, Teguise market on Sundays is an experience (a bad when when you opt for the one Sunday when it isn't on!), a vineyard such as El Grifo maybe.
That said, my biggest suggestion is explore and see what you find. It's a small island and you are never going to be to far from somewhere.
Enjoy

The Fire Mountains (Timanfaya) are unmissable as is the Jameos del Agua in the North of the Island.

Maddc,
I would reccomend Cesar Manrique`s house at Tahiche (I think ), its def worth a look, its built underground inside 5 huge solidified lava bubbles and if your into buildings ( and cats haha) then this place you musnt miss,
