Hi, I'm coming to Lanzarote for the first time on holiday with my family in a week or so, and my query is basically to do with car seats for my kids, what are required in taxis etc.
I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old, should i bring seats for both or will taxis carry any..??
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hi there
Car seats are required for kids. Last year was the first time in Lanzarote with my 2 year old, we hired a car for 3 days and got a car seat also...it was okay, but not very padded so we got a few moans...so if you are planning to hire a car, and you can be bothered to take yours with you, then do so...I would certainly recommend it for the baby as I'm not sure how they cater for them...not sure the taxis are kitted out and it could be a hassle to keep having to take them around with you all the time...rent a car and you get the flexability....have a great time though, it's a fantastic place...and go to the Wild West Park on the outskirts of Puerto del Carmen...your kids will love it....my daughter loved it when she got to touch an Aligator (okay it was only a baby and it's mouth was firmly taped up, but she loved that)....pony rides, canoes, loads of animals...food is great....you'll love it...have fun.
We're going back in August and can't wait....getting a car this time for the whole two weeks.

Most car hire companies will set you up with a child seat and as of some months ago any child up to the age of eleven has to have a booster seat and of course be strapped in.
The park that was mentioned on the previous reply is called Rancho Texas.
