Trying to decide which of these 2 boat trips to do this year.

Has anyone got any feedback at all on either ? I've read some poor reviews on the Catlanza but you can't please all the people all of the time ! I notice the SK is a longer trip for less money and the Catlanza does seem very expensive for 4hrs at €64 Undecided

Thanks in advance

Whatever happened to the Maria Errota pirate ship ?

The bloke that ran that was an absolute nutcase. He's probably too old now to do it.

Wow, that takes me back. We did this trip about 20 years ago. I remember as we passed the beach in PDC opposite the sports bar there was a pedalo that looked like it was going to collide with the ship, everyone gasped then at the last minute the photographer on the ship threw a bag to the guy on the pedalo who waved and turned to shore. The opposite happend on the way back, the pedalo guy threw the bag back on to the ship.

It turned out he was pasing the folms from his camera to the pedalo guy who went and got them processed and printed before giving them back. No digital cameras in those days. :)

We've done the Karoline trip, it was fine, jumped on the boat at Calero sailed round to Playa Blanca, choice of either a banana boat or speed boat ride, lunch and then a bit of time to relax and back to Calero, nothing fantastic but a nice boat trip.

Thanks Tapper, were drinks included or did you have to purchase separately ? The Catlanza although more expensive includes all drinks

It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has done the Pirate boat trip.

We had a great day on The Sweet Karoline. The kids had a great time and all the activities were in the price so no shelling out for extra stuff. There were way more activites on board than the Catlanza. I loved it and will be going again this year. Great sun tanning areas. They have a facebook page with all the pictures on it.

We' ve still got some of the cheesy pics taken and sold by the crew. This was in the very late 90s IIRC. Also we did a video of our outing. Our trip included an onboard BBQ and free bar anchored at Papagayo beach for the afternoon after the 'run up the coast'.

If you threw the chop bones into the sea, the seagulls caught every one of them before they hit the water.

We wanted the catalan trip but it was booked up, and we got left with the pirate boat...................it was brilliant ! 8)
