Headin to lanza now on 29th march ... sooooo excited

Just wondering were its best to change money from GBP to euro's -- I will be changing cash as im not using travellers cheques & want to know is it best to do this before i leave or in lanza??

If its better to do this in lanza (PDC) can anyone tell me best place & rate?

Todays rate is €1.05 though soem will show €1.06 or 7 and only give you 1.05. This is on the avenida in PDC. I usually only recommend Vnish or metro for changing up.

Cy actually changed his spare euros into sterling with nish before he came back a couple of weeks ago.

No doubt Foodie will advise you not to carry large amounts of money on you and Robert will give you the visa rate.

Get yourself a nice credit card like the Post Office one and you will get the best rate available and you don't get charged any extra like if you use your bank card.

Seeing as you asked in Playa Blanca part of the forum ... usual best rate can be found in "exchange" which is on the main street just up from the taxi rank down from the town church!
The rate is likely to change again by the time you come over as it has dropped heavily in the last week ... best bet is to keep an eye on it and then if it goes up you can decide whether to change some money wherever you are (so you know what you have to spend) or hope it keeps climbing!
If anyone knows which way it will definitely go we could all make a fortune!
