HI Gauldie. I'd not heard of these either - so thought I'd join you in a Google search. Could only find that they were brand new. But also this page. http://hotels.hotelopia.ie/spain/lanzar ... beach.htmlthe problem with that page though, is that it gives an address which would place it towards Playa Flamingo end of town - whereas the map shows it as being in a part of the town centre that is highly unlikely. I could be wrong of course... but I'd guess it's Between Montaña Roja and Playa Flamingo. Good luck, and let us know how you get on with your research. Elle xx

Thanks very much for your help. Thomsons are selling these apartments and we are trying to get some more info from them as well. Their map if it's correct of course, seems to show them located perhaps between the Rubicon palace and Calimera Playa Blanca ? Would be ideal if they were more central where they show on link you found as we have been looking for Apts nearer to main centre of resort. We'll keep searching and let you know if we have any success. Mo

Hi again Mo. From your description - Thompsons map would match the address - so yes, closer to Flamingo beach, than the centre. It's probably a 20/30 minute walk from there to get into town. I do town centre to the Rubicon in about 15 minutes... but I'm a fast walker.
If these really are brand new, and the price is right, then I'd say go for it. Even a cab will only cost you €3 tops to get about in. Plus there's a really nice little complex down that way (CC La Mulata).
Good luck!
Elle xx

Hi again, thanks for further assistance. Not having any luck either searching or with Thomsons, maybe get them on phone tomorrow. Pics look good as also is price, perhaps too good when we can't seem to be able to check them out. No idea how new they are therefore but not put off by either walk in or using taxis.
Thanks again.
Mo

Clear as mud lol! But the companynname is the same as was a watermark on one of the other photos - so that makes sense. I see this company also has Hotel Rubimar - that's almost on top of the Marina - so if you wanted something in the thick of things... that would fit the bill for you. We know friends who have stayed there - they said the catering in the hotel wasn't anything special (but then you're at the Marina - and there's LOADS of fab places to eat there - and then only a 10 or 15 minute walk to the town centre too) but they were very happy with the hotel itself.

http://www.lowcostbeds.com/scripts/TDBk ... inue&GUID={E1828947-3620-4208-834C-93B0D135149B} Elle, Found another link to these which is describing them as new properties, Thomson also only seem to be selling them from 1st May as well so maybe explains why they are not showing readily in searches. Getting good prices for this and Cay Sun beach but will phone thomson tomorrow as would really like to find out exactly where they are in resort before deciding. Mo

If these are the ones on the website Elle mentioned they are near Faro Park which is quite a way out. Have heard they were built as tourist complex but unable to get a tourist licence and have been empty for quite a while.

Thanks for that. We have found out that they are close to the Pechiguera Lighthouse and were apparently constructed in 2005. We had decided they weren't for us and now knowing it has been lying unused for a while confirmed this. thanks for all of your assistance with this search. Our local Thomson office were particularly unhelpful!! I am now off to email Angie at Lanzarotelates to see if she can help us out. Mox
