Hi,

We have visited lanzarote 3 times and always stayed in puerto del carmen. We find the choice of bars and restarants to our liking, enjoying place such as the tavern, charlies, route 66 and the american indian. We also like the choice of restuarants such as Emmas Cantina in the old town and the many across the main strip such as Universo etc.

We are thinking of visiting Costa Teguise this time, and were wondering how the resort compares to Puerto del Carmen? Is there a big difference? We like the old town of Puerto Del carmen but wouldnt want to spend all 2 weeks in a that type of place.

Depends on what you want on holiday, really.

There's a bigger choice of bars and restaurants in Puerto del Carmen, but Costa Teguise is probably less commercialised.

You can get a bus between the two for a few Euro. A taxi will set you back roughly €20 - €25.
