At the same time as my wife and I are in Costa Teguise later this month, some friends of ours will be in Playa Blanca andwe have been invited to join them for a birthday party. Not really keen on hiring a car so wonder what the journey to Playa Blanca would be like using the local bus service? We've used the service before but only on comparatively short trips ( CT to PDC, Arrecife or Teguise market, etc). Any info would be appreciated.

hi there, you can catch the number 3 from Costa Teguise to PDC, and then from PDC you'll need the number 6 to Playa Blanca.

The other way is to catch the bus from Costa Teguise to the Bus Station in Arrecife. The bus stops outside, then you have to go inside the station for the number 6 or 8.
This means you are one of the first on so guaranteed a seat.
The services are decent and the views are great as the bus visits Tias, PdC (biosfera), Uga and Yaiza.

www.arrecifebus.com , as stated above has all timetables and fares for the journeys.

There is now a direct bus from Costa Teguise to Famara, excellent for the beach, surfing and decent food.

or go to the last minute travel office and explain what you ar after they sometimes do reasonable price transfers down there and back and wil take half the time. bus service is good but time limiting if you want to spend the whole day there.
