hello. we are moving down to pb next week and have some questions:
* car hire- long term. have any of you got experience with renting a car for lets say... 3-5months? or is it best to just buy a car? what are the prices for used cars..?
* where can we buy fresh fish? in the supermarkets?
* are there any food markets in lanzarote? for local vegetables etc...
* know any good language courses(spanish)?

Ropers in Los Colorados. P.B have a superb fish counter. For long time car hire I would contact all the main companies and try to do a deal. Car purchase is a lot more expensive here than in the U.K.

Ropers is v. good - or try the fish counter in the fish market in the harbour. Is also excellent. I use both.

Is that still there? Certainly it had gone in July and August this year though open the previous year at that time. I was told it had given up; the cost of transporting the fish down to PB apparantly. Ropers can buy in so called "fresh" fish in bulk more cheaply.

Great food markets ... there is one in Uga just up the road from PB ... not sure when it is on these days though! As for language courses there are loads of fairly decent ones for free online these days or on various websites ... just search for Lanzarote Relocation and you'll find a website with a free course there!
