Yep straight over the finish line, through the funnel turn right stagger 150 metres and the lager pumps are straight in front oh you

Hoping to do it again this year finances allowing, hope Joan is going to do it again this year. It would be nice to meet up for a drink with her, as we did not get the time last year.

Hi we are visiting Costa Teguise for the first time in 5 weeks (21st May) and would love to hear about the best places to eat, good bars - suitable for 15 year old too. Supermarkets, excursions, public transport.....anything you would like to share. Good or bad as we are only there for a week and want to make the most of it.

We are staying at the Santa Rosa resort and understand it is about 15 mins walk on the promenade into the Costa Teguise.

We are really looking forward to it and would welcome any info that may help our stay be a memorable one :D

Thanks to anyone who replies.

DEBORAH

Heya. I came back today, early hours this morn from a week and what a great time i had.

weather
It was a little windy the first 2 days and he last day but i burnt more them days then ever coz u dont feel the heat! it does get really chilly at night tho so do take jacket and a pair of light pants, i mainly wore my linens! (might be diff towards end of may tho!!)

drinks
my boyfriend had large beers pretty much everywhere which were 1.50euro [dorado or San mig - local larger!!) . coz this was pretty much advertised everywhere we took for granted that everywhere did 1.50 a pint but a couple of places were dearer or 2euro a pin!...still cheap tho! seen as we were expecting 7euro a pint like what it is in Dublin!! I drank coke mainly and the only problem i have with this is it not draft coke, there all in bottles which were also 1.50 for a small glass bottle, it worked out cheaper if u went to spar and bough a can of coke!
If u like cocktails to go Hooks, Its ot a pirate outside. Its bit expensive, but its gorg! its facing the Most grg Steak House restaurant!

food
the food was great my bf who i went with will eat anything but me, im soo fussy. and i didn't complain once! there are good mounts of different types of food from steak houses, Chinese, Mexican, English, and Spanish tapas [also English versions of tapas!!]
every where for a full Eng breaky ranged from 2euro - 2.95euro but mainly 2.50!!
I didn't rate a place called Hammys for the breakfast, they got my order wrong and the main bit of my breaky came the rest was pretty much eaten so i dint end up eating most of the fave part of a breakfast! th people in Hammys were really nice tho, got on with a young scouse lad who worked on the front.
Hemmesseys, Popeye's, El Patio, Emperor Chinese were all gorg places to eat!!

Excurisions
we only went on the feutaventura excursion and had an amazing time, defo worth a visit and the money!. We heard from people we got talking to in our hotel that the water park was good fun for kids but became on the stairs as a couple have hurt them selves walking up there, and the volcanoes is fantastic, the yellow submarine one tho wasn't worth the money as your only undersea for 20 mins and its not right in the deep bit of the sea its only so far in the sea, plus it supposed to be covered in fish and there were hardly any there and the diver supposed 2 come to every window, but he had only come to the two main windows! We also went to the market, which we didn't rate, its nothing what we expected and pretty much every stall was the same, a family we spoke to who did the excursion with the rep or market and zoo said it was good as the zoo made up for the poor market!!

Supermarkets
there are only nettos and spars, get some deals in netto we found but it was far more expensive then the spar! apparently nettos in lanzarote supposed to be like a UK M&S!!! spar was reasonably priced on most things tho.

Duty Free
we found it was a lot cheaper to buy cigs and alcohol in the shops in Costa Teguise, we were going to buy all from spar until we found little corner shop in the ''shopping centre'' where the cigs were much cheaper. buy perfume and after shave on plane or in home place as it was mega expensive in lanzarote airport!

Hope ya enjoy ya self and hope Ive helped, if i remember anything else il let ya know!!
im soo jealous, i could of easily stayed there another week!

Thanks to all the replies to my post. Much appreciated. Getting really excited now - lovely to go away so early in the season for a change. Hoping it is not too windy :D and nice and warm :D .

The recurring theme seems to highly recommend El Patio so we will be partaking of a steak there that is for sure.

Anyone recommend some good bars with live music too.... maybe even Karoake!

Thanks a million for the info...keep it coming... want to make the most of our week there.
