I was up in the Fariones Hotel yesterday.
Got chatting to the man beside me. His name was David White, used to be a Footballer. Had a few beers with him up at the bar. Really nice guy and some great stories
Just Googled him and it was him alright.
I suppose he might not have been so friendly if he was one of todays Footballers or people recognised him

Although I'm from the red half of Manchester, I can confrim that you're spot on with DW. Met him once in a well known city centre bar and he was really down to earth, even while he was getting a bit of (friendly) banter from the United fans.

I had Stewart Kennedy the ex Rangers and Scotland keeper in a week past Sunday night. He was a great laugh and down to earth and even said don't call me "FIVE PAST" he was the keeper when England beat Scotland 5-1...................pure class

I'd much rather meet some of the Corrie and Emmerdale characters, they're always going to Lanza, Ken & Sally Webster are repeaters while Charity and Chastity Dingle are there as we speak, has anyone spotted them.
