Is the Deiland centre worth going to and is it easily accessible by bus from PDC?

Nice centre, although quite small compared to the UK but the shops are at the higher end of the market and the PDC bus stops pretty much outside.

Can I just say I hate Deiland. It reminds me of the shitty malls at home that I go on holiday to get away from. :D

Nicely phrased post, RobertK I suggest you don't go again! It is a bit small in comparison with UK ones, think Blue Drip, not Blue water. The Rotunda in Puerto Rosario, Fuerteventura is better. Mind you, having been round King of Prussia near Philadelphia, the UK ones are small. Personally, if I never go in one again, that's fine by me!

The only redeeming feature is the fact that it doesn't have an Argos and a boarded up woolies.

i like deiland.
its got an authentic kfc, bowling alley, cinema and shops and round the back some very good spanish bars.from pdc the bus stops virtually outside, but you have a 10 minute walk under the underpass to get to the return bus stop..definately worth a visit in my opinion

why go to sunny Lanzarote and then go to an indoor shopping centre ? if you must shop wander up the main streets have a drink in the sun looking at the sea.
The only time we visit here is if we get a wet day in Jan even then we prefer the part covered one in PdC old town ( the name escapes me at the moment )

Got to love Deiland for it's KFC. They do the crispy chicken on the bone-in pieces whereas you only get it on boneless stuff in UK. It is my one-stop-hangover-drop everytime in Lanza. OK It's fairly small for a mall but the shops are not tat. If you are not a large person, the clothes may fit (I'm sure Spanish XL is a UK small, )The bakers is pretty good and the Hyperdino is fairly large (not as good as the one across the dual carriagway next to the Euro99 shop). If you bus it, it'll stop just before Deiland and the return bus to PDC is a short walk at the other side of the dual carriageway and you reach that by walking through the roundabout tunnel under the carriageway. If you are driving, don't park at the front. It takes forever to get parked and the cars are usually abandoned. Turn right just before you get to Dieland and park on the back street or in the under mall car park.

The mall in the old town is Biosphera. I never shop there on a wet day in January, it's like a bloomin skating rink when wet. DANGER :!:

The day I go to a mall for its fried chicken is the day I jump under a train.

Some of you seem to have hit rock bottom already....

Bit harsh there foodie - each to their own and all that.

(Though I have to say Deiland does nothing for me either.)

From a shopping point of view--and I'm no shopper expert--I'd say the Biosfera probably has as much as Deiland.

The bowling alley is about the only thing Deiland has going for it.
