Love Ruta 66, it's not the cheapest bar in PDC but always busy and good music.

However, just back back last week from a holiday with 20 of us, we ended up in Ruta every night of the holiday. Most spirits & mixers are €6-7 and you can imagine on average we were spending €350 a night in there between 20 of us and every night drinks disappeared into thin air, some half full and all our half bottles of mixers disappeared as well.

A couple of us decided to watch the next night to find the phantom "thief" it turns out much to our shock that it's the waiting staff They deliberatly waited until most of us were on the dance floor or pre-occupied and they'd slip in and just blatantly clear/sweep all the drinks up finished or not. I got pretty friendly with an English girl behind the bar so asked the question as to why they were clearing the tables she advised that the management at Ruta instruct the waiting staff do this.....especially with large groups to up the takings

It's a pretty despicable ploy especially given the amount groups spend anyway without underhand tactics like that !

We were vigilant after that and once they realised we'd cottoned on they stopped but that was only after our 4th night in there

Even after you had 'cottoned on' you continued 'vigilantly' drinking in the same place?

Yes ! It was the busiest bar in the resort at the time and given there were 20 of us....majority rules Just warning others so they can be aware

If that had been a stag party, the place would have been burnt to the ground.

20 people, or anyone for that matter, spending hard earned cash in any business do not deserve to be robbed. I am just surprised that you continued to line the alleged thief's pocket after realising what they were allegedly doing.

What a great ad for tourism!!!! if this is true then shame on you Ruta 66!!!
