We are coming out for Christmas yeh!!!!
Were in Fuerteventura last Christmas and weather was fab so hope we are going to be as lucky this year.
As cooking on holiday is not my idea of fun I wonder if anyone can recommend good places to eat for a family of mum, dad and two teenagers. We will be staying at Los Colorados and will have a car.
Any advice gratefully received!

There are endless restaurants in the Playa Blanca area and in general they are all clean, welcoming, reasonably priced with extensive menus. It can be difficult to recommend restaurants as there is a high turnover of waiters and chefs so a place we find great one visit could be not so great the next visit, however I am pleased to make these suggestions

Near Rubicon Hotel and Natura Palace Hotel at Playa Mulata, there is a natural sand beach with a selection of bars and restaurants, nice and handy for nipping out for dinner and all restaurants here have wonderful terraces with views across the sea. For meat lovers the Argentian grill is excellent, for traditional but with a modern twist try Pinxtos next door and for those who love Italian food and Wine La Campana next door to that is a must, the owner Salvatore makes a real fuss and there is always a giggle to be had. Downstairs is the most amazing cocktail bar.

In the resort centre Brisa Marina on the sea front is always nice and a bit further along at the Marina El Manos is widely regarded as one of the best places to eat.

For fish lovers try Casa Pedros on the sea front near the ferry port or take a drive to El Golfo where you can order the catch of the day whilst watching the waves crash against the shore.

There are 3 or 4 restuarants in the area that you are staying in, we havent been for ages so it would be great to hear what they are like if you go.

Went to Brisa Marina on the seafront again last night - we never fail to be impressed. Had the sea bass last night - yum!

Ate out in the Marina last night for the first time ever. All the places had outdoor areas but it was too chilly for us. We eventually found Lani´s Grill, a Tex-Mex place with a decent indoor area and ate there. We had two starters, two mains and a sparkling white for 75 Euros. Not bad! And the food was ace!:)

Hi Loopy. Sorry for the delay. Yeah, Sandy is a friend of my partner's daughter. We always go to see him (and eat in RPB) twice when we are in PB. He used to work in Roca Mar and that's where we first met him.:)

Roca Mar.

Really friendly - funnier if you try a bit of the lingo - they'll work with you and teach you.

Steaks are cooked to perfection, and to your taste. My kid who is hard to feed, loved the food. (there's a waiter called Leonardo, my kid loved him 'cos of the Super Teenage Ninja Turtle connections.)

Tell them that you've enoyed your meal so much that you'll write about them on the 'net. I did this and they gave my missus a beautifully presented candle as a memento.

The other thing is - we didn't have a bad meal in Playa Blanca.

I think that because the competition is fierce, only the best standards will survive. Eat anywhere with confidence.

Best
Noel

Just back from Playa Blanca and i miss the place like mad. Stayed a week and totally enjoyed it. We stayed at the Sun Tropical Apts. I would like to recommend the Italian Restaurant L'Artista near Jumbos on the strip. What a class place to eat and chill out. The staff are excellant, friendly and totally nuts!! The food is excellant. I thought China City was also good, staff very nice and they get a great kick when they see your reaction when they give you a free shot at the end of the meal! The Tex Mex had a good menu but the mix grill was under cooked, they use a portable char grill, but when mentioned to the manager he had no bother with the complaint and deducted the cost from the bill.Looking forward to coming back in August.
