Hello
we visited Lanzarote last year (2010) at the beginning of September and went to the beaches at El Papagayo which were nice and sandy and not too busy , we enjoyed the holiday so much we returned in December and went back to the same beach and to our horror all the sand had been washed away from the beach, we guessed that there had been some bad weather ,we are returning next week and wondered if anybody had been there this year and if it was sandy or rocky there.
The particular beach was the one that faces towards playa blanca
thanks.

I was there in January this year and again in May and the beaches were as good as always

They are all fine and back to normal. I live here, and know that sometimes, after storms, the beach disappears down to bedrock, but being natural, it comes back again.

I was lucky enough to be there for a week in July and it was my piece of heaven for the whole week.

Thanks for all taking the time to read and answer my question. I am now looking forward even more to coming back to the island next week.
