Hi, I'm new. 8)

I am going to Costa Teguise with my boyfriend in February for 2 weeks, and it's actually my first trip abroad without my parents . There are a few questions I'd like to ask the more experienced travellers here.

1) What is the current exchange rate British Pound to Euro in lanzarote? The rate at Thomas Cook is $1.33 and if I order it in advance from http://www.crowncurrencyexchange.com I can get $1.37.

Should I change my money in UK? Or wait until I get to lanzarote?

2) I'm going self catering at Los Zocos apartments. We are on a budget for food because we would like to go on excursions and try diving. Should we go all inclusive? Or can we go AI once every 3 days or something?

Thanks in advance!

If you can manage it... try and get a Nationwide account - because then you can use cashpoints... get a rate without a fee... and then you don't need to carry around amounts of cash or trav cheques.

However... we see €1.38 to the pound at the moment in Playa Blanca - which I believe is the same in PdC and CT. Maybe our residents in those areas can help and/or confirm?

So the rate is generally better in Lanzarote than in UK. I'm not sure I want to open another account just for foreign money. Thanks for your help!
