I previously posted a topic about the area of Costa Teguise but am now curious as to what excursions or activities are available.

I am interested in visiting Timanfaya and taking a ride on the camels! Would anyone know of the best and cheapest way of doing this from costa teguise? I have heard it is 8 euro into the park and 10 euro for the camel ride but what would be the cheapest way to get there from CT? We are too young (by a year) to hire a car as most places say you must be 21!

The other thing I am very keen on is the Catamaran trip from Peurto Calero. I know this can be expensive but if anyone has done either of these trips or any other excursions (we are up for pretty much anything - go-carting, windsurfing etc.) that could make our holiday that bit more memorable and would be worth our time and money your help would be much appreciated!!

Last Minute have a very good set of tours. They were offering €40 per person for the whole Island tour recently.
The Catamaran tour is good, there are buses from Costa Teguise direct to Puerto Calero. Also a few trips leave from Puerto del Carmen. Try www.arrecifebus.com for times and prices. Very reasonable.
Other options are to ´phone from a call bo (very cheap) and most tour companies speak good English.

The FIRE MOUNTAINS are a MUST!

Book it when you get there. Lots of shops around to do it.

Me and my fella have booked the catamaran trip and they pick you up from Costa Teguise! If you give them a call or email and book now you will get a 15% discount. There are 2 trips, one is gold and the other platinum. Platinum is abit more expensive but its adults only, Gold is for kids aswell. You get a jet ski ride thrown in, snorkelling and drinks all day, also lunch.
Just go on the website and email them or call, you will get all the info you need.

i was just on the website for the catamaran there and it sounds very good!
it didn't really make it clear what the timing is for the trip so if you could just give us an idea of say what time they pick you up from costa teguise and what time you get dropped back at?
just wanted to know all the details before we book!
