Hi, I have only been once with a friend (Teguise) and my boyfriend has been to Puerto del Carmen. We have not been together and I was wondering the best place to go to suit our needs. We don't like clubbing but we like a drink and a nice restaurant with good wine, romantic walk etc. Where would you recommend in Lanzerote to go, I am thinking Playa Blanca or Puerto Calero?

thanks in advance.

Sue

Playa Blanca is lovely. We went in August and it was gorgeous weather, lots of nice little restaurants, bars not as expensive as I thought they would be. Enough to do on an evening with teenage son - ie, trampolines, pool etc. Fairly low key to PDC but if you want a nice meal, a few drinks and back about 1am then this is the place to go. Lovely walk along the front from Papagayo end, we used to call off at Marina and have a couple of drinks and then continue the walk to playa blanca village and then taxi back. Good bus service that goes along the coast there, so no need for car hire. taxis pretty cheap. Give it a go :) We thought it was wonderful - so much so that we are returning this sunday for a fortnight :D

Depends what you fancy obviously if you want all inclusive then Costa Teguise is the place to go as there is nothing else.....however back in Playa Blanca....

If you can afford the Yaiza Princessa or can get a deal there then jump at it as its a gorgeous hotel. Timanfeya Palace is good 3 star. Natura Palace is newish and has some nice bars and restaurants too. Can't remember the name of the 5 star in the new colarades area - could be the castillo - anyway its never 5 star which is why its cheap but think of it as a decent 3 star and its good value.

Dream Castillo Papagayo, Foodie. Some friends of ours stayed there with their small boy when they came to see us. The hotel looks nice - slightly Moorish rather than just a slab. and they said it wasn't at all bad.

Agreed - I've been in - but on some websites its down as a 5* but no way is it 5* in what you would expect in London for example. But for the money it definitely pretty good.
