Hi,

We are visiting Costa Teguise for the 1st time on 10th July and staying 11 nights at the Ficus apts on an All Inclusive basis with a 12 yr old boy. Is there a kids club and will he be able to join? Where is this complex in relation to shops/beach etc?

Are there plenty of shops nearby? We saw some SWAROVSKI crystal glasses in Gran Canaria which were much cheaper than in UK last December, does anyone know if we'll be able to get them there?

Any other tips for us whilst we're there?? :D :D

Hi, I just came back from staying at the Ficus for 2 weeks yesterday afternoon and I have to say it was well worth the money!
The food is good and is always a good range to choose from (just watch the eggs in the morning for breakfast though, sometimes the white isn't cooked properly)
Dave & Simon (The entertainment team) are fantastic, always there to help and have a laugh!!
The maids do a good enough job with cleaning etc, they have a thursday and a sunday off so that is the only 2 days your room does not get done!
Be warned... The pool is FREEZING and I mean FREEZING lol, if you do go in just jump straight in, a lot of people including me made the mistake of trying to 'walk in' lol. The sun loungers, a lot of people put there towels on in the morning then go out for most of the day but normally there is still loads spare after breakfast and during the day so its not too bad!
It costs 30 Euro for the safe for 2 weeks and you don't get any of that back.

Hope that helps, if there is anything else you want to know then feel free to ask :)

Oh yeah, there is no kids club there but during the day the reps do games around the pool, water polo, killer pool and darts, quiz, lilo racing and some others and at night they start it off with the kids disco, I did hear one of the reps say they have a kids club at the sister hotel down the road and it is 5 euro per hour. The walk to the beach is literally 10-15 minutes max! Not far at all, as you come to the end of the road where Ficus is theres shops & bars etc there. Also when you get to the beach if you go right to the very end theres loads of bars etc going down the side if you follow that road right round you come to an AMAZING beach, its gorg!! The sea is so calm there and its where a lot of people do snorkelling, you can walk all the way in it and its about waist high with crystal clear water :)

Do the rooms have english tv? Reason being that we need to keep 12 yr old occupied whilst we get changed on an evening...

Also, any ideas what entertainment is like?

1 week, 6 days to go... 8) 8)
