hi everyone- i have seen different dates for the fiesta del carmen this year -we usually are in Pdc last week july and first week of August and the fiesta is on while we are there-
is it accurate that it is on earlier this year- hopefully not!
anyone know where we willfind a programme of events

It should be 28th July to 8th August this year.
Have not yet seen a timetable of daily events mind.

I asked Miguel at www.lanzaroteinformation.com a couple of weeks ago and again this morning and he sent me the following reply,
"The ayuntamiento still haven't issued the dates - we only had the one for Arrieta over the weekend. But as soon as they do, we'll post them on the site."

We're normally there end July for two weeks and it's normally on during our stay. We're keen to know the date of the fireworks above the harbour!

Your obviously refering to Nuestra Senora del Carmen. The dates posted look accurate. We allways used to go on the last Thursday in July for 2 weeks and it had allways just started. They usually put the bunting out on the Tuesday and festivities start either the next day, or the day after. During our stays there it has finished on a Saturday, but we have known it to finish on a Sunday. Whichever, there will allways be the firework display usually at 11-30 or midnight.

It's looking like a great holiday for me as I arrive there on 29th, the first day of the Fiesta, Yay!!! Fireworks are on Sunday 8th August at 23.30 and they're always really good.
