In PDC old town there is a restaurant called Bodecos, run by Bo from Poland & her husband Declan from Ireland. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is amazing, we tried it for the 1st time last month & we will defintely return !

Grrrrr.... this one always winds me up!! One person's fine dining is another persons MacDonalds......

Knowing PB DOn Camillo certainly wouldn't be hitting the spot.
For me for the perfect ambience and sensational food would be Bodega in Uga - but then it is pricey - you won't get much change from 130E or more. Ditto Lagomar. There's a place down in Calero that is supposed to be superb too that I plan to go to in Feb and also an English run place La Cabana in Macher that is supposed to be very good too.

Lanzarote is a very nice place..There's a lot of tourist spots there. You can visit the Papagayo Beach or the Playa Blanca..the place was good for relaxation..

Quite agree foodie (glad you said it first!). I would say that about five years ago Don Camillo was good, rustic food with a friendly service. However - although we still enjoy a cold drink to look at the view and watch the world go by, in my opinion the food is now very poor and it doesnt help that there's a children's play area at the back (if you want a nice meal for a couple). To clarify about poor food: stale over cooked fish, dry partly burnt kebabs. We now prefer Marina Rubicon which is not much more, if any more, expensive that some of the restaurant in the old harbour.

Everytime I visit the Island, I always put a couple nights aside for the Amura restaurant. The restaurant is in Puerto Calero Marina, its like a Colonial style house, with a great setting especially for a celebration or just a romantic quiet dinner for 2. The food is great and the wine list is fantastic, and it won't bust your wallet.

I also recommend that after dinner, jump a cab to the Old Town Harbour, and have a few drinks and soak up the spanish atmosphere in San Miguel's, great bar, with great music.

Have a nice time :)

Hi,
Did you spot the comment in the first post asking for information on restaurants that 'are not so pricey??' you've pointed out your first suggestion is pricey and it's a little confusing..
130E for two people is pricey.
Should people expect to pay around the same in your other suggestions?
Regards

Jayne

Maybe so Jayne - but they also prefixed their post with "Fine dining"

To me fine dining is the best on offer - fine dining on a budget is just a marketing scam - it either is or isn't.

ANyway lets hope they found what they were looking for!

Hi,
Yes, I think I'd agree with your definition. I didn't spot the date either, info on your suggestions would still be appreciated, I want to vary my restaurant choices this year on my visits. :)
Regards

Jayne.
