Hi there, im wondering if you can help me! Me and my partner are going on hols to Lanzarote for the first time this summer. I was wondering if you could recommend anywhere to stay?
We are thinking Puerto del Carmen as it seems to be the main tourist area. We are after somewhere thats pretty close to the main beach in PdC, preferably less than 500m away from there. We arnt on the biggest of budgets as we are both young (19 and 21) but we have seen a lot of good deals on teletext holidays so now we have to decide where to stay.
Any help is appreciated :)
Thanks!!

Jable Bermuda and Elana apartment complexes come to mind. Jable Bermuda is up a short hill.

Elena Apartments or Rocas Blancas couldn't be closer to the centre of the strip and just across from the beach. Both are pretty cheap price wise and they're literally around the corner from one another

Rocas Blancas apts are cheap and ideal for beach etc.

BUT ARE BLOODY NOISY FROM 8.30PM --1 OR 2 AM  :(

Bar under apts plays music and has speakers attached to some apts. :(

Shop under bar runs a MUPPET VIDEO SHOW- extreamely load.

Have stayed there for 5 holidays----NEVER AGAIN.
IF YOU DON'T NEED SLEEP---STAY THERE

Hello Becks,
We have stayed at the Rocas Blancas around 10 times now and yes whilst I admit it can be a bit noisy, you will not notice this if you are out for a few beers yourself, even if you came in say at 1pm....

We love it there, no hills to climb right in the heart of the strip so easy to get home after a night out and reasonably priced, if you do stay, go for a sea view apt and you must try the pizza place a few doors along called Pinocchios.....Best pizza in PDC :D

I would say if you are the type of person that likes a cocoa and book in bed/on the balcony by 10pm then the Rocas Blancas would not be for you ! ....(having said that, we were there last week and were talking to 2 elderly couples who were staying for 12 weeks and they do so every winter... :D :) )

Happy Holidays
Danny

Well they must have done something right......as you've said you stayed 5 times

It really depends what time of year your there and how busy the resort is.......we were there in January and there wasn't a peep to be heard according to a group we met who were staying at the Rocas, but then again it'll be a different story in the height of season, which is when it attracts mainly party peeps anyway at the Rocas

You could try the Oasis Apartments, I usually book them through alpharooms.com.
They are 5 mins from the Casino, in a quiet location. Reasonable prices, able to book bed and breakfast (if required), decent , cheap pool bar.
Stayed there many times since mid 1990's........

the la florida apartments are where we go

great wee cafe / bar in apartments

a 5 min walk to the beach , there is another smaller one if you leave the la florida and just walk straight down the road...2 min walk

a supermarket right next to the apartments...hiperdino

another smaller supermarket across the road

a chemist right next to the apartments

the biosfera shopping centre 2 min walk away

choice of nights out in old and new town as the apartments are in a prime position to reach both in a few minutes

we are off there in a month...cant wait

Hiya

Have a look at Las Palmeras III. (not I or II) - we always stay there, it's a few mins from the beach but a couple of streets back so a dead handy location.

It's a great price and the complex manager, Karen is lovely and always super friendly and can give you tips on where to try. :-)

I book there through lanzarote breaks or espana breaks.
Best wishes!
Jayne. :-)
