Stoped in this hotel in 2006/2007, its a nice hotel so don't know whats that is all about.

I don't suppose you happened to notice if they had a gym?

Seen the sign that said "gym this way", but had no time to check it out sleepy.

I have just been in the Galeon Playa there is nothing wrong with it - that a few extra visitors would not sort out! Its quiet.

Everyone is happily sunbathing by the nice clean pool and it all seems fine.

Maybe the company meant by "Do not use" that they are not using the Galeon Playa anymore. Maybe just lost in translation.

I wonder if being quiet was the problem - in the same way as Woolworths was too quiet?

I have bever stayed in it - but know the location well. Its off the large carpark on the peninsula between the bays, the one that for some reason has a smaller car park off it down a dead end - yet I have never seen the main one full.

There was a foreign language site I found that pointed at the gym having a multi gym that was broken then left rather than repaired. This points in a similar direction too.

i cant understand this site saying this,ive stayed at the g/p but as ive posted cant remember a gym but hey i dont lok for 1 or need it the galleon is a nice hotel and was being extended last time i was over.

I think we will probably stay there - as its now an excuse not to use a gym thinking there was one.

Every other time I have been to Lanzarote, its always been PdC with the exception of Los Picollos - which basically is PdC with a wander, and only once to CT (Teguisol - which had "a gym beneath it" just next to the good supermarket - but it was never open, and doing a nosey through the window looked like they were still finishing the building never mind the gym).

The Galeon Playa is a well positioned complex with sea all around you. It is clean and nice and does exactly what it says on the tin.

It is quiet at the moment but hey its May and there is a world wide recession. Summer is coming and maybe its not all doom and gloom. There will still be a few holiday makers around. I met plenty since Thursday and there are enough to keep us busy arriving tomorrow. School only broke up for mid term last Friday and so the bulk are arriving tonight and tomorrow and they are all welcome.

I can recommend the Galeon Playa it is clean and well kept and it is fine for a good holiday in an excellent location.
