Just returned from PDC and once again have to mention Antica Trattoria di Verona. We went there twice ( having booked) and had excellent meals both times - if vegetarian, try the spaghetti al pesto - everything was home made and delicious. Also the service and ambiance was excellent.

Pinocchios was also very good as was the pizza restaurant directly opposite the casino (not sure of the name). Restaurants around harbour are also very good.

On the down side, we tried the italian restaurant (Pizzeria napolitana I think it is called which is located on the corner of the square containing casa siam and all the little english pubs). Here the service was appalling - the waiters had zero customer care and the food was below average. Also we tried Lenaghans in Matagorda for an evening sunday roast meal but this appeared to be closed although it was being advertised daily on holiday radio.

Friends and Hawaiian Bar good for drinks (well priced).

Mucky Duck II at Los Pocillos is excellent for sunday lunch.
I agree, anticca is a superb restaurant.
Also La Lonja and Mar Casa Bonita in the harbour.
Da Vinci´s on the strip is good, also Universo near to (ahmmmm) McDonalds. (which is also ok(ish))

Restaurant El Drago,on the main avenida in front of La Penita. Have lived here for 15 years and always (well almost always) eat here. Two menus, English Food and local Canarian food (just ask the waiter for details) Lovely steaks, paella, fresh fish and a huge pizza and pasta menu...childrens menu too. Good prices. Speciality drink...sangria. The real McCoy, no cheap red wine stuff here!!!

How far away from La Penita and what direction. Sounds like another one to add to the list.

Cheers.

A few steps should not bother Pearl.
