I forgot to write about how green Lanza was when I visited a couple of weeks ago. I've spoken to quite a few people about this and no-one recalls it being like this before. Anyone clued up on the reason? I know it's Paddy's Day's next week, is it some Irish stunt?

Hi Walker,

Some nice photos there, i think the Island has been getting progressively greener this time of year for the past 3yrs, comes with the increased rainfall, or so i was told by a local (Canarian)
I think i also saw some of your Photos on another site!!
from Yaiza/Femes & also Papagayo/Quemada.
Are there many walks, we are in PB, but not full time, is there a map or just follow the trails!

Hi Shaun,

I'm a member of an informal group (pictured) who go for walks alternate Sundays. If you are interested, drop me a pm (I live in PB). There are a couple of good books on walks, the best is probably Walk Lanzarote in the Discovery Walking Guides series, and the companion Lanzarote Tour and Trail map, which shows all the routes in the book. You can find them on Google pretty quickly.
