Hi,

I am coming to Playa Blanca at at the end of November for a 2 week holiday.

I am looking for a good gym, preferably nice and cheap :) to use while I am there.

If anyone has any recommendations I would really appreciate some guidance. I know a lot of the hotels have facilities, but not sure which would let me in without charging an arm and a leg!

There is a good well equipped gym in Yaiza run by the Ayuntiamento which is cheap

On the seafront. Approx opposite the Yaiza Hotel is a lot of outdoor Gym Equipment. I am sure it would keep you toned for a week or two and its very cheap. Infact free :)

On the seafront.

The municipal gym in Yaiza is near the medical centre on the way into the town about 11 kms from Playa Blanca and a long way from the sea!
A gym in PB itself is listed here.

Many people seem to use the one near the Galeria, Calle del Terminito, one street back from the PB's promenade.

Lol, I love those exercise areas on the front of Matagorda. I was most amused (or rather, shocked) to find they have installed the very same machines at the seafront in Leven, Scotland. This was 6 months ago and no doubt they will now have been trashed by the local neds/gadgies. One of the many reasons I dream of living in a civilised place like Lanza.

Yaiza is about 11Km inland and has a good sports centre. The Princess Yaiza hotel is on the Dorada Beach in PB, and there are some exercise machines on the promenade in front, similar to those on the prom in Playa Honda. I think most hotels have a gym, but you would need to enquire at each.
