That´s for Fuerteventura. Lanzarote is only forcast at 36 max, a little more bearable.

Don't locals post on here ?
A friend of mine who lives in Fuerte says it was 43 C on Friday, and the temps have been very high for over a week.
That is dangerously high weather temps.

It has been in the high 40s and nearing 50 in certain places, however as I type it is now a mere 27c looking at the tenerife forum they have just had a sirroco with temps as high as 49deg and 44 in the shade some of them said it was like having a hair dryer on there face constantly it was unbearable for some so they came back to the uk for holiday how weird is that we cant wait for the sun and people who have it all year round just want some respite from it and come back home for vacation

Well when you have lived in the UK all your life you get used to having seasonal weather.
Many Lanza expats I know go out in around October and come back to the UK for the summer because the Lanza temps in July Aug and Sept is just to fierce.
I've been out in Lanza when its is heatwave time and it is not pleasant. After a week of temps not dropping below a hundred F even at night you start to go a bit barmy. We were going for swims at 2 in the morning to cool down and finding half the development in the pool!

Are the temperatures getting back to normal yet ?
30's is OK, but 40's is dangerous. And that lovely refreshing wind !

40 deg C is just TOO hot, not comfortable at all and downright unpleasant at night if it doesn't cool too much. Ole PS - Foodie, like the sound of the midnight skinny dipping - now I see what sort of complex you're on !
