Im looking for some help on renting a villa in June. There is 3 of us coming out for 1 week on June 1st and we are looking to stay as central to PDC's strip as possible. I have looked at some villas that have been listed on here and was looking for some advice from locals and/or anyone who has stayed at either of them so we can make a decision. We have some friends staying at The Elena at the same time hence the reason for us being near the strip. Being a girl, I am completely useless at looking at maps and trying to work out the distance! Hi Chez, from looking at the maps I would say the following on your villas:

199 is at the very top of the resort with a good 15-20 minute walk to the old town or the fariones on the strip. Elena and Centro are about another 10-15 minutes further on. The walk balk is all up hill and from experience the walk from fariones to the Biosphera is a steep one.

The other 3 are all much of a muchness in terms of distance. They are all down towards the other end of the resort i.e Playa Pocillos. It would take about 10-15 minutes to the casino and another 10 minutes to the centro.

having just come back last Thursday, I was staying near the casino and it took me about 40 minutes to stroll to the harbour and about the same to stroll to the bars at Pocillos/Matagorda.

I would say any of them would suit to walk down but probably a taxi ride hoem from centro would be advisable as the areas they are in are pretty quiet, especially at night.

The three together would lend themselves to a lot more bars and restaurants on the see front closer to the villas.

Only your 2nd & 3rd choice on actually in central PDC. The 1st one you listed is in Los Mojones which is a loooong way from the strip and the last one is in Los Pocillos again at the very end of the strip.

The Elena are on Calle Nicaragua so you need to look around that area, there are a few on Calle Anzuelo which is right next to the Elena too. Focus on somewhere near the Casino as that's very central on the strip so to speak.
