Hi All

We stayed in the Club Sirocco last year for a week and even though we thought it was ok and would return, we are looking for somewhere a little nearer the town. We go on the 3rd April for a week (cheap Thomson flights on today). So if someone could be of any help..that would be much appreciated

Tracey

I take it you are booking flights and accomodation separately. If so just type 'lanzarote rentals' and it will list all the popular rental sites and have a nosy around them to see what apt's are central.

the town only takes 20 minutes to walk through unless you've got small children or people with restricted movement in your group???

Sands beach over the road is excellent and a place I'd always recommend, only about 20 yards closer to the shops/town though.

I'm sure you checked out the taxis on your last visit but if walking isn't your thing CT woudl only cost about 10 euro for a round trip around the whole centre.

Hi Meat

We are not fussy at all but we wouldnt want to stay anywhere unclean. We will eat out everyday so not bothered about the food in hotel/apartment either. I looked around last night on the net and found a couple i thought looked nice. If you have stayed in these the feedback on location, noise etc would be great:

Galeon Playa
Mansion Nazaret
El Trebol

ps. we are 40 and 50 and able to walk anywhere, but im just lazy

Thanks xx

Tracy,

We stayed at a residential complex 2 minutes walk from the square last year. It was very quiet and during the day we practically had the pool to ourselves. Try googling for las Piteras or if you're interested PM me for a direct link to the one we stayed in last year.

hi again tracey,
stayed at galleon playa its basic and clean but can get a bit noisy if kids are off school,if someone rings a door bell you can hear it throughout the block of aptmnts, and we were also woken by people emptying skips at 6am but i guess that was were our room was positioned.
stayed at mansion naz last feb and it was spotless, the room we had may not of been used for a while as it smelt a little(very little)on the 1st day,but youre greated with a bottle of wine on the table and fresh bread rolls on youre door every day, would deffo go back 100o/o.
also have a look at the oceano i went there alone and it was so peacefull, and el gurapo(spelling) also peacefull no kids to be seen but the last two were just used as a base.hope this helps

love meatxx

Many thanks for this. I am edging closer to the Naz i think. Is the location ok for the square?

I googled the Las Piteras and it came up a naturist area

Each to their own but not for me.

Thanks

Tracey

LOL, it's not a naturist area. It's the apartment complex behind the Hiperdino.

Is El Guarapo not the little man that the Spanish put in their nativity scenes? You know, the one who is squatting with his trousers round his ankles, doing well..... his business. :?
