i read somewhere that apartments for sale on tourist complexes would not be able to be registered with the local council,how does this effect someone once you have purchased.because there are plenty of these apartments in every estate agents thanks

Not sure what you mean John by "registered with the local council". Properties aren't registered with the local council, they are registered at Registro in Arrecife (The land and property registry)when the public deed signed at the notary is presented.

sorry if i did not make it clear,iread that the local were trying to stop the sale of complex apartments to private individuals,ithink it was complexes with tourist licences so they did not become mixed residential and tourist

I think a few months ago htere was an atricle in the gazette about something similar, in where the complexes had been given a tourist license and not a residential license so there could be something in that when the complex gets sold on.
