John,

Its all about planning, take some time and view the many posts on the subject of moving to the Island. Everything from accomadation to good advice from the many expats that live on the Island are on this forum.

Good luck.

your best bet is some for a holiday and sort things out whilst here, as for accommodation theres plenty work is limited at the moment but still some around. talk to people who have been here a while or have bars i.r pop into spenders or jaspars and we both can help

Does moving to lanzarote not seem like a massive risk right now? Seems like most of the popular areas of business like bars, restaurants etc is extremley difficult even for established and experienced ones and with things like the euro and less disposable income blah blah it just seems like a massive risk to take, especially when the main draw is a better quality of life but in reality you will probably work alot more hours in hectic environments for less than the uk leaving little time to enjoy lanzarote.

I'm interested to know what is the success rate of all these people who do move?
