Just done a search for flights from Glasgow to Arrecife, quite a few Airlines offering return flights out of GLA for less than £180 return 2nd week in January! Really cheap for Glasgow! Has there been a significant down turn recently?

There has been a downturn over the last 2 years. We have the main road dug up at the moment in Puerto del Carmen but this should(?) be finished in January (Hopefully before). Still plenty to do and see on the Island.

Poug - I wouldn't say £180 was particularly cheap - unless flights from Glasgow are more expensive in general. I would expect to be able to get flights from Gatwick or Manchester for £100 or less in Jan and Feb.
But then as I said often more expensive from regional airports.

Flight from Glasgow are more expensive in general.
Hence me driving 220 miles there and back to Manchester airport, staying the night in a hotel near Manchester and still saving money compared to flying from Glasgow.

Im workin there in PDC. Our bar has closed for 2 weeks, so just home in ireland for a couple of weeks. Ive noticed it very quiet of late at times on the main strip, and although i wasnt there this time last year, the general consensus is that its much much quieter than last year.

don't listen to Luxury Villas, it's an internet troll just trying to get a reaction out of the forum users. He/she has no reliable data.

Overall -7.786% Quieter! Hi Cymmon These figures you are bringing to our attention are those from ASOLAN and refer to occupancy levels in hotels and apartments under their control. They do not take into account the thousands of tourists each week who stay in other types of accommodation. So when looking at the overall situation on the island, they are interesting but meaningless. The only figures which show the true picture are those of total tourist visitors. Overall +1% Busier!
