Met friends in the Janeos Playa Hotel last night for dinner.
It was amazing. The 2 of them are staying there for €800 for the week and that is everything included.
Very impressed with the quailty of food and drink.
No sympathy for some bar owners that are charging stupid money for drinks and food (mostly the Irish ones).
My friends sorted out the bill for me but as far as I know you can go in a pay a set price for your food and drink. Not a 100% sure on that.

I can only agree with the above post, we were staying in Balcon Del Mar appartments and were invited round to the Jameos Playa where mum and dad were staying, they said it was outstanding in every area including the food so we eat with them one night and it was the best meal we had all week by a long way, Ive always being against all inclusives as I believe in supporting the local bars and restaurants and in fact this Sept we are coming again self catering but if we can manage to get over in January next year would give the Jameos Playa a try if only for the comfort and facilities in winter, it's definitely a first class quality hotel, a model of german efficiency

Have to say SNAP to the above comments too.

Friends of mine had a 24-hr delay at the airport last year and were accommodated overnight in the Jameos Playa.

They couldn't speak highly enough of the place - food, staff and rooms were all excellent, they said.

Having always gone self-catering in the past, they're now considering going half-board there the next time they visit, (they can't quite bring themselves to go totally All-Inclusive :) )

Have to agree the food is first class. You can go in off the street and buy a dinner ticket for about €25 but the food is the best you can get of everything. Calling it buffet does not do it justice. The best food anywhere. Such amazing quality.

Food sounds good. Do you have to be staying at the hotel or be the guest of a resident to eat here or can non residents book a meal?
