Hi All,

Just back from two weeks in CT and wish we were back there so much.

We stayed at the Santa Rosa this time (3rd visit) and it is a lovely little resort, food is fantastic and there was always a good selection, was kept clean, fwith riendly staff and would definately go there again.

The island is just as beautiful as we remembered it...yes it look very unkempt and could do with some tlc in places but where doesn't??

Anyone who says this island is lacking in culture hasn't experienced the island properly.
The scenery is breathtaking, we visited Arrecife, which has a gorgeous front and some fantastic shopping centres, we did the Grand Tour this time and it was breath taking, the views were something we will never forget and I had tears in my eyes when we looked out at the island from the highest point....Jameous del Agua was amazing...on the tour alone we took just shy of 300 photos!
We visited friends in Playa Honda and ate the biggest burger I have ever seen at a Spanish restaurant on the front and the people are friendly and we never felt uncomfortable in any of the spanish bars or restaurants.

Would like to than Mick and Sarah at the Bulldog and Stuart and Jed at Monica's for a truly fantastic holiday...especially Mick and Sarah who had us at there home 3 nights for drinks and food and friendship and laughter.

Anyone who calls this island Lanzagrotty truly has never seen it properly....we have only scratched the surface on what it has to offer and we love the place.

Ready to book for next years visit and will cry when we leave again!

What a great report on your holiday and wonderful Lanzarote. We were over in September and a friend joined us who had been to the island on three other occasions and had seen virtually nothing. This led to us taking her around the island to many of the places to which you refer, she had no idea that it is so beautiful. It also gave us the excuse (not that we really need one) to re-visit many of our favourite places. Our friend said it was one of the best holidays she had experienced and we were just over the moon to be able to share the reason we have been returning to Lanzarote for the past 20 years.
Back over again for New Year and just cannot wait

I'm glad you both enjoyed it. We love the island, and would encourage any visitors to see as much as possible - certainly the usual tourist attractions, but if possible, hire a car and see the untouched bits
